World Book Day

World Book Day: We celebrate World Book Day with a range of whole school activities and competitions for all pupils to get involved with.  Tutor groups across all years are asked to decorate their doors like a book cover.  Pupils work together as a team to create appealing book doors for the chance to win a prize.  A celebration breakfast is provided for the overall winner.

There are various activities and competitions held in the library on World Book Day, such as a book quiz, photo booth and big book swap.  All pupils take part in additional literacy activities during English lessons on the day.  KS3 pupils also participate in a variety of activities during library lessons, with competitions to enter such as designing the official Holy Cross bookmark.
