Pupils complete Bronze CREST award

29 June 2015

Earlier this year, a group of thirty-six year 8 students took part in the Faraday Challenge run by IEC Faraday. This was a prestigious competition which Holy Cross Catholic High School are glad to say they came ninth out of fifty-four schools nationwide. Thirty one of these students extended this task to achieve a Bronze CREST award. To achieve this, the students further developed their prototype model and presented their recommendations in a presentation and within a final document. The pupils presented their work to a panel of judges which included Head Teacher Mr Gaughan and the Head of Science Mr Power, as well as the department science teachers.

The Faraday Challenge and Bronze CREST award were organised and run by science teacher-Dr Knight
