DoE delight!

Holy Cross students have been putting their best feet forward as they look to boost their CVs.

Fifty Year 10 students have been camping, navigating and walking in Ribchester as part of their Duke of Edinburgh bronze award.

“The Duke of Edinburgh is valued by staff and employers as it shows students are prepared to put in commitment and hard work,” said Holy Cross’s DoE organiser and science teacher, Ms Brown.

“We have really stressed the importance of it and the students are enjoying it. We already have 70 signed up next year in Year Nine to take part in their bronze awards.

“We hope our current students will go on to silver and gold awards.”
The school have been raising money for new DofE equipment and recently held a 5k fun run raising £300.
