Last Thursday, a Year 9 class were treated to a talk and story writing workshop from visiting author Melvin Burgess.
This fantastic opportunity was organised through the We Are Reading initiative funded by Lancashire County Council.
This campaign is aiming to promote and encourage reading for purpose and pleasure for young people, as well as promoting reading as a lifelong skill. At Holy Cross we put reading at the centre of school life.
