On Thursday 25th April, 85 Year 10 pupils travelled to Blackpool Opera House to watch Bill Kenwright’s production of Blood Brothers. Year 10 pupils are just beginning to study Willy Russell’s play as part of their GCSE English Literature course and the opportunity to see it as a live piece of theatre was invaluable for their understanding of the plot and characters.
Many of the pupils commented on how amusing they’d found the play and that they were excited to begin studying it during English lessons.
