On Thursday 11 July 2019, two of Holy Cross’ year 9 pupils, Moyin and Luke, took part in the East Cluster Archdiocese Public Speaking Event at St John Rigby College in Wigan. Both of our pupils delivered a passionate speech regarding the topic: Should children be encouraged to earn pocket money from a young age?
Moyin and Luke performed outstandingly and did Holy Cross proud! They had some tough competition but were credited for their efforts on research, content, sophistication and presentation. After performing at the Rotary Youth Speaks in October 2018, both of our pupils were able to improve their delivery skills to produce a fantastic presentation in a mature and sophisticated manner.
