Runners up at the rotary BAE Tech Tournament

17 March 2015

Holy Cross  were celebrating a runners-up spot at the tough annual Rotary BAE Technology Tournament.

The Chorley school sent two Year Nine teams to the event at Chorley Town Hall and each year the teams are set a challenge to be completed in an allotted time slot.
This year the teams had to design and make a cable car that would deliver a package to a ‘stranded’ group on the other side of a crocodile infested ravine.
There were 23 teams in the Intermediate category and the Holy Cross team of  Tess, Leah, Niamh and Ciara came second.
The other team, made up of Phoebe, Ben, Molly and Joe, had a well-thought out plan but suffered a malfunction at the last minute.
