School badge in flowers

10 July 2018

Five green-fingered students from Holy Cross have made the school badge in flowers.

Year Eight’s Kyle , Ryan, Daniel, Ciaran and Rhys created the flowerbed at the school as part of their Life Skills project.

“They did it all themselves,” said teacher Mr Callaghan.

“They dug it out, researched where they could buy red flowers and the price, measured and stencilled the school badge and then planted the flowers.”

“It probably took them around four hours but they all enjoyed it.”

Ciaran added: “I learnt a lot from doing it, about plants and gardening in general.”
