Holy Cross student Luke has signed for Premier League Burnley FC.
The 15-year-old had been at Burnley’s rivals Blackburn Rovers but was released from there.
The right winger went on a trial with the Clarets and was snapped up for their Academy.
“I had been at Blackburn from age 14,” said Luke. “I was released which was devastating but now I think it could be the best thing to happen to me.
“I went to the Lancashire trials and a scout for Burnley asked me to go and train with them for an eight-week trial but they signed me within four weeks for their Under 16s.
“I do support Liverpool so I guess my dream is to play for them but just to be a professional footballer would be a dream.”
