Parents’ Guide for Booking Appointments on School Cloud
I would like to invite you to attend our online Year 7 Parents’ Evening which will take place on Thursday 17 June from 4.00 pm – 7.00 pm. This is an important evening and provides you with an opportunity to discuss the progress of your child with each subject teacher.
The evening will take place through the digital platform, School Cloud, a new intuitive and easy to use online video appointment booking system. This allows you to choose your own appointment times with teachers and you will receive an email confirming your appointments.
Appointments must be booked in advance of the evening. Appointments can be made from Thursday 10 June 2021 at 9.00 am and will close on Wednesday 16 June 2021 at 9.00 am. This will enable teaching staff sufficient time to organise and plan a schedule for each appointment. Should you wish to make any changes after this date please contact the school office.

The user guide is also accessible on the school website should you need any assistance. We would also recommend you visit the following link, which provides a seven minute video on how to log in to book, and later attend video appointments: https://support.parentseveningsystem.co.uk/article/801-video-parents-how-to-attend-appointments-over-video-call. On Parents’ Evening, parents should use the same link to access appointments through any device that is equipped with a microphone and front-facing camera. School Cloud will automatically begin and end your meeting in the appointment slot that is booked with each teacher. To allow for any problems, please aim to be logged on to the system 10 minutes before your first appointment. If there are any issues, it is advisable to stop the meeting and restart; however the time limit would remain.
Due to the number of classes many teachers have in Year 7 the appointments will take no longer than three minutes. At three minutes, you will automatically be cut off and the next meeting will commence. Unfortunately, some staff have three or more classes and therefore are unable to speak to all parents, and we would ask for your understanding. Staff will be happy to arrange another time to contact you if there are particular circumstances that require a longer conversation.
