Mr Lindley – Headteacher

Mr Lindley joined Holy Cross in 2002 as a newly qualified Science teacher.  Today, as Headteacher, he has a wealth of experience in Catholic education having been Deputy Headteacher and a teacher of Science for many years.  Mr Lindley is a Science specialist.

Mrs Huddy – Deputy Headteacher

Mrs Huddy joined Holy Cross in 2010.   Mrs Huddy has responsibility for the day to day operations of the school.  Her specific responsibilities include organisation of whole school events, Curriculum Development, Timetable, Staff Appointments and Interviews, OFSTED preparation, Leadership of Exams and overall responsibility for the School SEF.  She is a Modern Foreign Languages specialist.

Mrs Hardman – Assistant Headteacher

Mrs Hardman joined Holy Cross in 2014.  She oversees the Learning Support Department and is our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for safeguarding.  Mrs Hardman is also responsible for the Alternative Curriculum.  She is a Modern Foreign Languages specialist.

Mrs Henderson – Assistant Headteacher

Mrs Henderson joined Holy Cross in January 2017.  Mrs Henderson has overall responsibility for Teaching and Learning: this includes the implementation of the curriculum; literacy and numeracy across the curriculum; assessment; homework, development of lead teachers, ECT induction and supporting staff in delivering high quality teaching and learning for our pupils.  Mrs Henderson is also responsible for staff appraisal and induction.  She also leads continuing professional development for all staff.  Mrs Henderson is an English specialist.

Mrs Hitchen – Assistant Headteacher

Mrs Hitchen joined Holy Cross in September 2013.  Mrs Hitchen has overall responsibility for all aspects of our pupils’ personal development, extended curriculum opportunities and whole school rewards.  Mrs Hitchen is our Educational Visits Co-ordinator and is also responsible for staff wellbeing.  Mrs Hitchen is a History specialist.

Mr Morris –  Assistant Headteacher

Mr Morris joined Holy Cross in 2012.  Mr Morris is responsible for the pastoral care and guidance of pupils within school.  This role includes the school behaviour, attendance and liaising with external agencies who support pupils and the school.  Mr Morris is the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for Safeguarding and is a PE specialist.

Miss Wallace –  Assistant Headteacher

Miss Wallace joined Holy Cross in 2015.  Miss Wallace is responsible for whole school behaviour and attitudes.  This role includes leading, developing and monitoring the whole school behaviour system.  Miss Wallace is a History specialist.

Mrs Cooper – Business Manager

Mrs Cooper joined Holy Cross in 2002.  Mrs Cooper has overall responsibility for financial matters in school, personnel, management of non-teaching staff and catering services.  Mrs Cooper also has overall responsibility for the care and management of the school buildings and grounds, the sports facility, health and safety matters and the organisation of school transport.
